What is the OCYSF?
We are a 501c3 not-for-profit organization whose primary function is to support the OCYC Junior Sailing Program through fundraising efforts with the express purpose of providing equipment, facility and structural improvements, sponsored social events, advanced coaching, and scholarship opportunities for our junior sailors.
How Can I Help Contribute to These Efforts?
Volunteer to help with coordination of events. Sign up for a committee. Offer to help out with regattas or the OCYC family dance and raffle.
Come to our events! Buy some OCYC gear and a few raffle tickets—You’ll look classy in club swag…and you might just win a kayak.
The Old Cove Youth Sailing Foundation is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization…which means: your donation is 100% tax deductible and all proceeds will be put directly towards the improvement of the junior sailing program and upkeep of OCYC facilities.
What Scholarships Opportunities are Available to Junior Sailors?
Thanks to generous donors, including the Sky Bergen Memorial Fund, the Old Cove Youth Sailing Foundation (“OCYSF”) can offer up to three (3) annual scholarships for young residents of the Town of Southold to participate in the junior sailing program at the Old Cove Yacht Club in New Suffolk during the summer. We are a small club with a big heart. This organization could not prosper without the generous support from a caring community!!
